Art, Literature, and the Brutal Death of Paper!

Comicpocalypse Smash!!! This week there is no containing Jakob Brewster's anger towards DC Comics. Then he turns his giant, vengeful fists towards the movie the Incredible Hulk. Did it satisfy his need for green-skinned violence? And did he just say he liked Speed Racer the movie?! Finally, last week Comicpocalypse cozied up to the idea of digital comics. Now, it is time to look at the other side and Jakob comes out swinging and kicking for the groin. Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield's webcomic, FREAKANGELS, is examined. And Jakob discusses what changes he thinks a digital comic revolution would bring to comic books as an art form.

And a review of Grendel: Behold the Devil #8 and Red Mass For Mars #1.
