Art, Literature, and Santa's Reindeer of the Apocalypse!
Oh comic books, how do I love ye? Let me count the ways... Actually, only one of the many reasons to love comic books is examined during this issue of the almighty Comicpocalypse. That reason: awesome portrayals of pulp fiction. No, I'm not talking about Batman discussing the name of a quarter pound cheeseburger in France with the Green Arrow. I am talking about kung fu and monkeys and the living dead and punching and vampires and all those elements that are looked down by those sipping tea in their ivory towers. Because sometimes cyborg gorillas trump the masterful use of iambic pentameter. Oh, and a discussion of B-rated superheroes getting their own movies spins wildly out of control and compares them to that episode of South Park with the Crab People. Strap on your seatbelt bub, this issue of Comicpocalypse is flooring it and heading full speed to Crazy Town. Enjoy!
Plus reviews of Astonishing X-Men #25, Conan the Cimmerian #0, House of Mystery #3, No Hero #0, The Programme #12, and Thunderbolts #121.
